I'm kind of all that - and you are too

I was going to post the quote below to my Facebook page today but realized it made me reflect more than just a one sentence intro so I figured I'd share here.I have asked myself the first question in the quote below...and it stinks.  It really does.  Is there anything worse than self doubt?!  I have to remind myself of the message that follows the quote and to just - stop - questioning!

After reflecting on it and thinking about the subject of being "good enough" altogether I've concluded that the question pops into my head more when I'm surrounded by the wrong people.  Negative people.  Self-absorbed people.  Misguided people.  Therefore I've made great strides to 1) remove those people from my life.  And 2) to identify them before they even become a part of my life and then avoid them altogether.  They're like land mines (I was going to say "or wrecking balls" but I LOVE that song too much.)

Any old way, I've gotten better at this but some of these people still manage to find their way in.  So always be on the lookout - sometimes they are at the office*, sometimes they are a group or organization* and sometimes they are just plain old DUMB people you meet randomly at party*.  Regardless, try to become aware of the situation around you when you start doubting yourself.  If you do, chances are you will begin to pinpoint the triggers...and then you can start to remove those triggers from your life.

That's what I've done, do and will continue to do.  So, triggers:  beware!  There ain't no room at the Inn for you here!

(* = stories to share at a later date to protect the not-so-innocent)

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You're playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
